‘Moving or twisting in a spiral motion’ is not our goal. ‘Corkscrew Solutions’ does offer advisory services and practical applications (solutions) to wine producers and to those who aspire to join our ever-growing fraternity.  Small to medium, start-up and amateur enterprises are our specialty.

‘Corkscrew Solutions’ is driven by Peter Orr.  After more than 25 years as a winemaker in an industry that is constantly evolving, I believe I have something to offer.  With a broad range of experience across many regions and in all facets of the industry, it is my goal to provide answers to those questions that only experience can.

 

Education experience:

 

·       Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science) - Charles Sturt University,

·       Master of Agribusiness – University of Melbourne, Faculty of Land & Environment

·       Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

·       Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma & Certified Wine Educator

·       Advanced Wine Assessment Course – Australian Wine Research Institute

 

Practical Experience:

 

·       wine production from premium regions (Hunter Valley, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Hilltops, Frankland River and more)

·       winery development/growth planning and implementation

·       winery/export/packaging/restaurant management in small to medium sized enterprises

·       ownership of a boutique winery, vineyard and restaurant

·       international and Australian wine show judging
